A fine song.
DC is one of the bands I should like more, but really don't care for all that much.
I suppose too many interviews in which Neil Hannon does his misunderstood genius bit will do that to someone.
Understandable. I'm glad I haven't read those interviews, then. Because his songs, when allowed to speak for themselves, are often superb.
Of course, if I had to work with the UK music daily press, I'd be permanently petulant, too.
