You know, I like that version, too. Which I think says a lot about the strength of the song itself... as well as my high tolerance for tracks that sound like stereotypical products of the Kompakt label.
Oh, yes, I think it's a fine version, too. Interestingly, it was made before the Kompakt sound was as defined as it is today (and not on Kompakt, but definitely shaped by the same influences).
This exchange is reminding me how out of touch I've gotten with German electronic music over the last couple years... something I think I need to take steps toward remedying by buying the new Ellen Allien mix album right now.
