Anonymous said...: Thank you! Oh how I love this song! Silly as it is, it can sometimes bring tears to my eyes. The line "woke up...and my mama was gone", probably because I first heard it when I was 11 years old. It was briefly popular in another version and played on the radio through that summer. I would never have guessed the title though, and for years and years never heard it again. Rediscovered it in a convoluted way.. one of Bappi Lahiri's songs from "Tarzan" was said to have borrowed from "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep".
