A strange tale, badly told

Make no mistake about it, Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani is a film that screams awfulness from its every blighted frame. But, for some reason, I still feel compelled to describe it to you in harrowing detail. See my full review, just posted over at Teleport City.

  1. oh.sooooooo.bad...

my favorite part (not that anything in it was "favorite") was how Akshay refused to die or even really be injured no matter how hard he was flogged. Hilarious!

but if I want "so bad it's good" I'll still take Disco Dancer any day.

  2. Thinking about it now, Akshay really had a lot of the best/stupidest moments in this movie. In addition to what you mentioned, there's him shooting at Manisha's apparition, the part where he almost dances off a cliff, and the bit where he all of a sudden has a bazooka for absolutely no reason.

  3. yup, Akshay was the real hero of this film. Not that it's anything to brag about :-)

PLEASE NOTE: I do not sell, trade, upload or otherwise provide copies of the films that I review on this site, so please don’t ask.

Please, no questions about where to download films or subtitle files. If you are asking about the availability of a reviewed film on DVD, please make sure that you have first conducted a simple search of the film’s title on Google, eBay, and Amazon. That usually works for me.

Everyone else, BRING IT ON!
