Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words. I mean, honestly, you're going to decide whether or not you'll watch They Call Her... Cleopatra Wong based entirely on this picture of Marrie Lee firing a shotgun while dressed in a nun's habit, and what I have to say about it really doesn't matter. So why bother? Oh, well. Too late. Read my full review, just posted over at Teleport City.

Would it be violating a trade secret if you could reveal how you watched this masterpiece of Pan-Asian cinema?
Alas,Cleopatra Wong has yet to receive the deluxe Criterion Collection treatment it so deserves. In lieu of that, I was able to obtain a copy from the very reliable Super Strange Video.
Thanks! We should petition for a Criterion release. Get Marrie Lee to record a commentary track.
According to Bobby Suarez himself, a company called MPI/Dark Sky Films is releasing Cleo Wong, One-Armed Executioner, and Dynamite Johnson to DVD. No word on when or what they will look like, and who knows if it will even happen? But if you can't trust the man who made the movies, who can you trust?
That would make a mean boxed set.
