Oh, phew! Finally a crowd pleaser. And here I was planning to post "Baby" by Gal Costa and Caetano Veloso--and would have if the video I'd found of it hadn't been taken off YouTube.
Glad you all like. Picking a favorite out of XTC's vast catalog of great pop songs is one of those tasks that is as pleasurable as it is difficult.
Glad to know it, House! There was a really nice clip of the Costa/Veloso song from a late 60s TV broadcast, but now it's gone. It seems that the music gremlins have done a sweep of YouTube recently, because, if you look at my previous song posts from a few weeks back, a couple of them have already been taken down.
Yes, and the millions of dollars that could have been had from exploitng the rights to an obscure, 45 year old song by The Cookies are lost due to one low-fi audio clip appearing on the internet. Do these pirates have no decency?
PLEASE NOTE: I do not sell, trade, upload or otherwise provide copies of the films that I review on this site, so please don’t ask.
Please, no questions about where to download films or subtitle files. If you are asking about the availability of a reviewed film on DVD, please make sure that you have first conducted a simple search of the film’s title on Google, eBay, and Amazon. That usually works for me.
Ahh... one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands... :)

Well, I wouldn't have protested against the Costa/Veloso team-up, either. ;)

ReplyDeleteBecause nobody ever bought an album after seeing a YouTube video.
