A few months back, when I reviewed the Bollywood Child's Play redux, Papi Gudia, I bemoaned the fact that no clips of Karisma Kapoor's, er, exuberant musical numbers from that film were available on YouTube. Well, now some generous member of the YouTube community has rectified that situation, so beat it! (And if you start to feel beaten down by Karisma's love of the beat, make sure you at least skip forward so that you can see the mirrored bodysuit that she rocks during the last couple of minutes.)
How? What!? Why!?
ReplyDeleteThat...that thing she is wearing in the final minutes - Michael Jackson without the alleviating influence of his father?
Army of Monkeys watched this last summer and gave that song. I love when she talks in the beginning, but it's kind of hard to watch any more than that.

ReplyDeleteAgain, Beth: Flip book.
Did Army of Monkeys review this film? I couldn't find it on the site.
House, the fact that this clip made you somehow think of Papa Joe as a relative source of sanity is a testament to how much it pushes the limits of the extreme.
Exactly, Todd. And you talked me into watching this thing a copy of which is just now slithering its way through the US Postal Service to Germany.
ReplyDeleteThat'll be an interesting review, I bet.
I'll be very much looking forward to reading it!
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for my copy of the 2001 Jaani Dushman to arrive, BTW. (Feels cold shiver going up his spine.)
This looks like a must watch. That outfit looked like some kind of alien silver beehive/cotten candy.
ReplyDeleteYou know, it is a must watch. I don't know how, but somehow over these past months I've become a booster for this film, and I accept the mantle proudly. I think that it is the duty of every man, woman and child in the universe to see it.
ReplyDeleteAoM hasn't reviewed it, despite my incessant whining at him. He seems to have found something "better" to do. Bah!
