Ho Ho HO! I've been listening to so much Kinks lately.
Lots of forgotten gems to ferretted out: "Wicked Annabella," "The Hard Way," "Brainwashed," "Sweet Lady Genevieve," "They Can't Stop the Music," "Supersonic Rocket Ship," "Rosemary Rose," "Misty Water," "Schooldays," "Everybody's a Star."
I think this is the fourth time I've featured the Kinks as my Friday song. I could literally just change it to "Friday's Best Kinks Song Ever" and have no problem coming up with stuff for at least a year.
I think you should pick a month - probably something Autumnal - and go all in with the Kinks, declaring it Kinks Month on 4DK.
Then maybe tie in some kinky movies or something, I don't know. Or possibly Wes Anderson movies which tend to feature Kinks songs. Or...OR! Thai knockoffs of Wes Anderson movies which suddenly seems like the coolest genre ever.
I think Kinks month sounds like a good idea, though I don't think the internet needs another person writing about Wes Anderson movies. However, I could definitely write about the Eurospy film Passport to Hell, in which a bar fight takes place to the accompaniment of "Everybody's Gonna Be Happy" on the jukebox.
