my moment of "what if they're right" doubt came from reading Jack Chick comics in my late teens, but i got over it. nothing like thinking things out...
The real bitch about Jack Chick's vision of Hell is how you have to first go through that whole "Book of Life" business where the angels show you a movie of every time you masturbated or made fun of an old person or whatever on a giant screen. It's like, "Alright, I get it! Just send me to Hell already."
yeah, but that concept TERRIFIED me!...
word verification- "fight"!
I didn't have a "What if they're right" moment per se, but before I honed my atheism, and based entirely on what I saw in movies, I thought every prayer to God had to begin with, "Help me, God! I'm at the end of my rope!" Thus my childhood prayers of, "Help me, God! I'm at the end of my rope! Please tell Santa to bring me a Shogun Warrior Mazinger for Christmas."
